For travellers coming from "Green", "Orange" and "Red" countries, a document showing anegative result of aPCR test carried out within 72 hours before entering the country. A temporary ban has been introduced for the entry into the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria of all persons, regardless of their nationality, through all border crossings, by air, sea, railway and road transport.

These travellers are not required to show the negative result of a PCR test upon arrival and quarantine is revoked upon submission to the director of the regional health inspectorate of the negative result of a PCR test taken on the 10th day of the mandatory quarantine.
Quarantine may be revoked upon submission of a document showing a negative PCR or Rapid Antigen test taken within 24 hours from entering the country. If travellers from green and orange countries cannot provide any of these documents, a 10-day quarantine is imposed. In this case, travellers can perform a molecular or rapid antigen test no earlier than 72 hours after their arrival. If the test result is negative, the quarantine ends from the day following the registration of the result in the National Information System for Combating COVID-19. If these categories of travellers come from a red country without any document, or if they come from dark red countries and only hold one of the documents required, they can perform a molecular test or rapid antigen test 72 hours after entering Bulgaria.
